We have a busy week ahead of us!
Here is a quick recap of what will be happening:
Wednesday (3/30/11) - 9th-12th Grade will be going to Holy Cross Church in Montebello for "Meecheenk" from 9:30am-1:30pm. Food will be provided for students. Please wear school uniform.
*4th & 5th Grade Choir students will also be going from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
Thursday (3/31/11) - Open House! School will be minimum day.
Friday (4/1/11) - 1st-12th Grade will be going to the Armenian Genocide Martyrs Monument in Montebello (Hooshartsan) from 10:30am-1:30pm. Food will be provided for students. Please wear school uniform.

Mesrobian Wins BIG in Kaham Games!
This weekend was the closing ceremonies for the Kaham Tournament (3/27/11). We're excited to say that Mesrobian took home several medals! The following is a list of our winners:
1st Place - "D" Division Girls Volleyball
1st Place - "D" Division Girls Soccer
1st Place - "D" & "F" Division Ping Pong (Aram & Daron Yessayan)
1st Place - "E" Division in 100m, 200m, 400m & Long Jump (Hasmig Veilleux)
2nd Place - 5th & 6th Grade Basketball

The Month of March is Dedicated to Javakhk
The Armenian youth in Javakhk live in extremely difficult circumstances. Armenian Mesrobian School will be doing its part to help. On Friday, March 25, the ARS organized an assembly at school for grades 6th-12th for students to better understand what they would be raising money for. Mini piggy banks will be passed out to each student so that they can fill them with change. Please donate to the ARS Javakhk Fund Coin Drive. Every cent counts...

School Mate Fundraiser Deadline 3/28/11
Our School Mate Fundraiser deadline has been extended to this coming Monday, March 28, 2011. Please make your final purchase decisions and hand them in to the office by Monday. All items (greeting cards, postcards, cookbooks) are $10 or less. You have no minimum - but every purchase helps! Extra order forms are in the office.

Mesrobian's Annual Science Fair!
Yesterday, on March 24, 2011, Mesrobian's Annual Science Fair was held at Mesrobian's Iknadossian Hall. It was a great evening where parents and friends came out to see the works of our hard-working little Scientists. Certificates were presented to all of the winners. The evening was organized by our Science Department Head, Mrs. Lucin Devletyan, and Mrs. Nairy Ghoogasian.

Armenian Genocide Martyrs Monument Sign (4/1/11)
On Friday, April 1, 2011, at 11am, Armenian Mesrobian School will join the community in the unveiling of the 15 foot Armenian Genocide Martyrs Monument Sign on the 60 Freeway! The dedication ceremony will take place at the Armenian Genocide Martyrs Monument in Montebello. We encourage all parents & community members to join!

Science Fair (3/24/11)
Mesrobian's Annual Science Fair will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 7pm (Mesrobian Campus). We will be presenting the works of our future Albert Einsteins & Sir Isaac Newtons. ALL parents & community members are encouraged to join!

Honor Roll Night (3/16/11)
Honor Roll Night was held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Mesrobian's Iknadossian Hall. We celebrated the academic achievements of our most hard-working and dedicated Junior High & High School students. 22 out of the 32 Honor Roll students were on the Principal's List (GPA 3.85+). It was a great evening filled with parents, faculty, and students.
We are extremely proud of all of you! Keep up the hard work!
