Community Forums

The Armenian Relief Society of Western USA, in conjunction with Pacific Clinics, have organized a series of Community Forums dealing with substance abuse, drug addiction, depression, etc. The community forums will take place on Wednesday night's from 6:00-8:00pm.

Candy Drive Ends This Wednesday!

The World's Finest Chocolates Candy Drive will end this Wednesday, November 28th!
All money must be turned in to the office by that day. To qualify for prizes, students must turn in their money on time. Prizes will be distributed after the completion of the sale.

Creative Turkey Challenge!

The Art Department's Creative Turkey Challenge was a big hit! Students made amazing 3D turkeys using a creative medium. Per contest rules, the 11th Grade Art Class judged the challenge.

Mesrobian at Armenia-Fund Telethon!

Look out for Armenian Mesrobian School tomorrow, November 22nd (around 12pm), on television at the Armenia-Fund Telethon!

Live Animals Assembly at Mesrobian!

The Whitter Narrows Nature Center visited Mesrobian for the past 2 days. They put on great assemblies for our Kindergarten through 12th grade students. The assemblies included many live animals, such as an owl named "The Professor", snakes, spiders, as well as pelts and bones. The students were not only excited, but extremely interested and full of questions.

We would like to thank the Whittier Narrows Nature Center for such an amazing experience!

Kindergarten Gives Thanks!

The Kindergarten students had their annual Thanksgiving luncheon with their parents. The students sang songs, expressed what they are thankful for, and had a delicious Thanksgiving meal.

Mesrobian's Debate Team at JSA Fall State Convention!

This weekend, Mesrobian's Debate Team once again participated in the Junior State of America's (JSA) annual Fall State Convention. The mission of the Junior State of America is to strengthen American democracy by educating and preparing high school students for life-long involvement and responsible leadership in a democratic society. At the 2-day convention, Mesrobian joined over 800 other students from Southern California and voiced their opinions on topics that currently cause controversy and division throughout the country. Our students did an amazing job at the convention and had a fun-filled busy weekend!

Mesrobian School Dinner - November 16th!

The Mesrobian School Board and the Holy Cross Board of Trustees are hosting a dinner to benefit Armenian Mesrobian School on Friday, November 16th, 6:30pm, at Bagramian Hall in Montebello. The dinner is sponsored by the ARF "DRO" Gomideh. The School Board's "Car Raffle" drawing will take place at this dinner. For more information about the raffle, go to www.hyeraffle.com.

Presidential Election at Mesrobian!

For the past 2 days, Mesrobian students have been participating in the ASB's Mock Presidential Election. Yesterday, students registered to vote, listened to a debate between 2 of our presidential candidates, and participated in a quiz bowl about our government. And today, students placed their votes at the Mesrobian Voting Poll.

Free Dress for Candy Drive!

Per Candy Drive rules, "families who sold their whole case of chocolate and turned in their money by October 26th, will be rewarded with a day of "free dress" for each student in the family."

Those students who have recieved a FREE DRESS PASS only, may wear free dress this Thursday, November 8th!
