This
weekend, the Armenian community and Mesrobian family tragically lost a former Mesrobian
student in a fatal car crash. George Derkrikorian, at age 23, was killed
when his car was hit by a drunk driver early Sunday morning. Some of you may have
known George through Mesrobian, through the Montebello community, or even
through Camp Shining Light. His smile will truly be missed by all who knew him.
This
extremely devastating incident should be a lesson to all of us to NEVER ever
drink and drive, no matter what the circumstances may be. There is ALWAYS a
better option.
Our
prayers and deepest sympathy go out to the Derkrikorian family and we hope God
gives them the strength to get through this horrible time.
