The elementary spelling bee took place on February 28, 2013. The contestants were determined by impromptu spelling tests to determine the three top spellers in each class . Two separate spelling bees were held during the day. Alexis Nercessian (1st Grade) won in the 1st & 2nd Grade category and Troy Veillieux (5th grade) won in the 3rd-5th Grade category. Congratulations to the winners as well as the contestants who were chosen to participate.
