Mesrobian Students Participate in Pan Armenian Poetry Festival in Artsakh

Last May seven Mesrobian students participated in a poetry recitation contest along with other students from Armenian schools in the Los Angeles area. Three of our students won awards and were invited to Artsakh to compete in the Pan Armenian Poetry Festival in Shushi: Alex Manoukian (11th Grade), Alice Khachigian (6th Grade), Taguhi Ter-Hmayakyan (6th Grade). The festival was entitled “The Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and the Rebirth of the Armenian People”, which took place in the cultural capital city of Artsakh, Shushi, on August 17-21. Two of our students, Alice Khachigian and Taguhi Ter-Hmayakyan were able to travel to Armenia with their families this summer and participate in the contest in Artsakh. We are very proud of our students, and are glad that Alice and Taguhi were able to represent Mesrobian in Artsakh.
