On
Monday, October 15, a Bruin Ambassador from UCLA, visited
Mesrobian and spoke to the junior and senior classes. Her presentation included an overview of
campus life at UCLA, programs that the university offers, and the application
process.
Students
received specific information about grade point average and standardized test
requirements, as well as advice about what to include in the activities section
of the UC application and the personal statement. She even provided her e-mail address and offered students help with their
personal statements.
Overall,
the presentation was very helpful, not only for the seniors, who are applying
to universities this year, but also for the juniors, who gained a better
understanding of what they need to do between now and next fall to strengthen
their chances of acceptance.
