An Emotional and Unforgettable Experience in Armenia
Mesrobian students visit the Armenia Lighthouse Charitable Foundation - established by Zohrab and Seta Ghazarian, parents of proud Mesrobian Alumniwww.armenianlighthouse.com. The Lighthouse provides support, shelter, food, healthcare, counseling, and education to victims of domestic violence and their children. They toured the facility, interacted with the residents and especially the children, and served an amazing meal to the elderly from the surrounding villages who have little or no support or family. Lunch was sponsored by the Yayla family in memory of husband and father, Zakar Yayla and by Ara and Yerchan Yessayan and family - both with deep roots and connections to Mesrobian School. After an emotional time and a tearful parting with the children, Mesrobian students went on to visit the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, where they were given a tour of the museum and cathedral and where they met with the Director of Museums, Father Asoghik Karapetyan.
