International Night Attended by Record Numbers

International Night Attended by Record Numbers

On Friday, May 3rd, Armenian Mesrobian School celebrated International Night. The annual event highlighted the school's commitment to cultural awareness and ethnic diversity. The school wide event, organized by Mesrobian's Parent Faculty Club, was held on school grounds and attended by over 500 guests.

Rows of white tents filled Mesrobian's beautiful campus. Each tent was adorned with flags and decorations native to the countries they represented. As guests strolled in they were greeted by music, warm weather and the aroma of food from around the globe. Students talents were showcased as they performed dances choreographed by teachers, volunteers, and the students themselves. Parents also had a chance to display their decorating and cooking talents as each class hosted its own booth. As a special treat, Mr. Jahziel Curtis performed, "I Can See Clearly Now" with the 6th Graders.

As the sun set, all the students gathered to sing a final song, "It's a Small World", to represent world unity and peace. At the close of the evening, the school's annual raffle was drawn. Lucky winners went home with great prizes, including a MacBook Air and an iPad mini, just to name a few. Prizes were graciously donated by community organizations, including Club Mesrobian Alumni, Holy Cross Board of Trustees, Mesrobian Support Group and Disney Resorts.

International Night was sponsored by generous contributions from local businesses and families in the community. Local merchants and parents also made donations of food and drinks which helped make the event an even greater success. Mesrobian School continues to thrive and grow with the support of our sponsors.
International Night is an annual event and each year is more successful, with great food, fabulous entertainment by our students and, of course, our community which comes out to support our event.
