Mesrobian High School Students Attend JSA Convention
Our high school students who are members of the Mesrobian chapter of Junior State of America (JSA) attended the Fall State Convention this weekend at the Marriot Hotel in Los Angeles. The convention was attended by over 800 high school students. JSA is the largest student run organization in the United States. The organization allows students who are interested in politics, foreign affairs, law and education to become active, informed citizens. Our very own ASB President, Poghos Iskajyan, who is also our chapter president, is a JSA cabinet member as the Director of Convention Technology. He is also a Youth Commissioner for the City of Montebello. At the two-day convention our students were given the opportunity to participate in debates on various topics and were given the chance to articulate their views on national and local issues.
