The Pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade classes were treated to an educational assembly titled "Wildlife and the Environment of Southern California" presented by members of the Whittier Narrows Nature Center. The students were excited to see a live owl, tarantula, and a very timid possum. They also learned about different herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores that live in the area. They were most excited about touching the pelts of different types of animals. We would like to thank one of our parents, Mrs. Olga Josephbek, who made the arrangements with the nature center to come visit Mesrobian.
